Hailing from South Africa and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Joel graduated with high honors from Harvard College in Social Studies and Environmental Science and Public Policy. As a Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholar in South Africa, he honed his expertise. Later, he served as a speechwriter for the Leader of the Opposition in the South African Parliament and completed a Master of Arts degree in Jewish Studies at the University of Cape Town.
After earning his law degree from Harvard Law School, Joel worked as a Research Fellow at the Hudson Institute. He made a bid for U.S. Congress in 2010, crossing paths with conservative media pioneer Andrew Breitbart and eventually joining Breitbart News in 2011. Together in Los Angeles, they transformed a mere blog into a 24-hour news website that reshaped American politics.
A prolific author, Joel has penned several books, including "How Trump Won: The Inside Story of a Revolution" and "See No Evil: 19 Hard Truths the Left Can't Handle."
